About Anson
Anson Merriman was the son of Chauncey Merriman, the original 1809 purchaser of the farm that became Rogers Orchards. He was a progressive farmer who planted a thousand Baldwin apple trees and an acre of cucumbers, earning the nickname “Old Pickles.”
