About Evelyn
Evelyn Overton is the co‑founder of The Cheesecake Factory. In the 1940s she discovered a cheesecake recipe that inspired her original cheesecake, which led her to open a small bakery and later, with her husband Oscar, launch The Cheesecake Factory Bakery in 1972. She later helped open the first Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Beverly Hills in 1978.
