St. Nicholas Chapel, a historic 1916 concrete block church on Patuxent River Naval Air Station, serves as an ecumenical worship space for Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, and Christian Science congregants. The interior was restored in 2006, and the cemetery was rededicated, preserving over 700 graves. The chapel’s bell, salvaged from the WWII aircraft carrier USS Attu, adds to its heritage.
