About John
John Zupan founded Zupan’s Markets. He began his grocery career at age 16 as a courtesy clerk at Sheridan Fruit, later serving as Produce Manager and Produce District Manager at Fred Meyer. In 1975 he established Zupan’s Markets, a family‑owned specialty market in Portland, and remained actively involved until his passing in 2011.
