Bill Phelps is a co‑founder of Wetzel’s Pretzels. He opened the first bakery in Redondo Beach, California, in 1994 alongside Rick Wetzel. Prior to that, he sold a family pet‑product business to Nestlé in 1990 and then worked at Nestlé, where he met Wetzel.
