Nancy West, founder of West Hills Montessori School, was born in Portland in 1934 and holds a BS in Art Education from the University of Oregon and an MEd from the University of Portland. Nancy is the founder of West Hills Montessori School. She studied art education, earned Montessori teaching certificates from the Saint Nicholas Training Centre, the American Montessori Society, and the Association Montessori Internationale, and helped establish the Vermont Street campus in 1968. She later helped open the Lake Oswego campus in 2003.
