Edward L. Dupuy, Sr. was the founder and first pastor of West End Presbyterian Church. He and his family moved to Hopewell in the fall of 1921, started a Sunday School on November 13, 1921, and organized the church on January 20, 1924, where he was ordained and installed as pastor.
