Rev. William Bryant Tillman founded Spray Mission in 1942, which later became Trinity Wesleyan Church. He established the ministry while continuing his work at Spray Wesleyan Methodist Church, invited Rev. F.R. Cooper to lead a tent crusade, and helped transition the church to the Pilgrim Holiness Church before it merged into The Wesleyan Church.
