About Marcus
Marcus B. Zimmer was a Boise merchant who arrived in early 1891, operated The New York Store, and built the Queen‑Anne style Zimmer House at 412 S. Fifth Street in 1893. He later invested in real estate, purchasing 256 lots on Harrison Boulevard in 1904, and died unexpectedly in Coos Bay, Oregon, on July 25, 1907.
