About Mannon
Mannon C. Gore, a farmer with expertise in bridge building and dredging, purchased Sunset Beach Island in 1955 and designed the causeway and pontoon swing bridge that established the island. He also built the original Vesta Pier. He is the grandfather of Gregory S. Gore, who runs Century 21 Sunset Realty and Sunset Vacations.
Mannon C. Gore is the original owner of Sunset Beach, North Carolina, and the founder of Sunset Vacations, the longest‑running real‑estate and property‑management company on the island. He established the company’s roots, which are now carried on by his grandson, Gregory S. Gore.
