About Durward
Durward was the co‑founder of Sunnyside Montessori in Happy Valley, Oregon. He and his wife, Charlotte, opened the school in 1989 after moving from Colombo, Sri Lanka, to Portland in 1968. He contributed to the school’s establishment and legacy until his passing in 1996.
