About Edward
Father Edward Mickle was the founder and first pastor of Saint Charles Catholic Church, serving for forty years and later elevated to Monsignor in 1927. He built the church in 1889, oversaw the construction of the rectory (1893‑1894) and the convent and school (1898), and was known as “The Apostle of the Eastern Shore.” He passed away on August 16, 1930.
