About Pete
Pete Jones founded Skylight Inn BBQ, opening the restaurant in the summer of 1947 at age 17. He pioneered whole‑hog barbecue over wood and established the family‑owned establishment in Ayden, North Carolina. Pete passed away in February 2006, leaving a legacy carried on by his son Bruce, nephew Jeff, and grandson Sam.
