Roland Lanz founded Roland’s Swiss Pastry & Bakery in early 1962, originally as a pizza bakery, and later expanded it into a full‑service retail bakery and restaurant specializing in European‑style pastries and desserts. He remained the sole owner until his retirement in 1992, when Gerhard Schaefer and his wife Elvira purchased the business.
