Matt Pearce is the founder of Old San Luis BBQ. He moved to San Luis Obispo in 2001 to attend Cal Poly, developed a passion for Santa Maria‑style barbecue, and later opened a catering business in 2010 that grew into a full‑service restaurant and catering operation. He now leads the brand, expanding it with a tap truck and a taco truck for events.
