About E.
E. J. Smith is a Reverend who, along with Rev. Walker Quarles and Rev. Slow, conducted worship services at Ebenezer Baptist Church following the church’s adoption of a resolution that dismissed black members. He served as a pastor during the transitional period before Rev. John Clarke was appointed as the first permanent pastor.
