About Dr.
Dr. Jake Roden arrived in Midland, Texas, in 1948 as the only board‑certified obstetrician between El Paso and Fort Worth. He converted a house on M Street and Illinois into a delivery unit and operating‑room garage, delivering over 800 babies. He left shortly before the Midland Women’s Clinic opened to become a medical‑school professor in Missouri.
