John Chappell Allen

Rev. John Chappell Allen (1885‑1914) was the founder and first pastor of Morning Star Baptist Church, establishing the congregation in 1885 and serving until his death in 1914. He guided the church’s early growth, purchased land for a cemetery, and encouraged members to acquire property for the church and themselves.
