Raquel Alfonso — Co‑founder of Metropol Restaurant (wife of José “Pepe” Canosa). She is a Cuban immigrant who moved to Puerto Rico in 1964 and, together with her husband, founded the family‑owned Metropol Restaurant in San Juan in 1965. The restaurant has been operated by their descendants ever since.
