About Edward
Edward Henry (E.H.) Jennings was a prominent businessman who immigrated from St. Ives, England to the United States in the 1800s. He became a key figure in Pittsburgh’s business and social life and, in 1895, co‑founded the Toxaway Company, acquiring 35,000 acres in Western North Carolina and developing the Toxaway and Fairfield Inns.
