About J.o.
Rev. J.O. Sessoms served as pastor of Jonesboro Baptist Church from 1898 to 1902. During his tenure, the church had no parsonage, so he was provided a home in the J. A. Hughes house, which the church voted to purchase but never paid for. He also served as pastor of Mount Shiloh and later moved to Lovingston, where he became editor of the Nelson County Times.
