Brenda O’keefe

Joey was the co‑founder of Joey’s Pancake House in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. He and his wife, Brenda O’Keefe, opened the restaurant in the summer of 1966 after meeting at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami. Joey passed away in 2001, and the pancake house closed in 2017 before reopening in 2018 under new ownership.
