John Brown

John Brown was a prominent landowner in the area now known as Hebron, Virginia. In 1746 he led a group of Presbyterians who established a meeting house on his land, which later became the site of Hebron Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Margaret deeded the two acres containing the stone meeting house to the church commissioners in March 1768.
