About Hershal
Calvin Green is the founder of Green’s Propane Gas Co., Inc., established in December 1962 in Smiths Station, Alabama. He began the business by delivering propane gas from a 1957 Chevy bobtail, laying the foundation for the family‑owned company that is now in its third generation.
Billie Green was the original bookkeeper for Green’s Propane Gas Co., Inc., managing the company’s books from a desk in the dining room of their home when the business was founded in December 1962. She is the wife of founder Calvin Green.
