Nancy Dorn is the daughter of Harry Amsel, who purchased Breakers Café in 1948. She grew up at the restaurant, starting work at age 2, and later married Dan Dorn, a Cal Poly business student. Together they bought Breakers Café from her father, expanded its hours to include dinner, and renamed it Dorn’s Café. She is a co‑owner of Dorn’s Breakers Café.
