About Dr.
Dr. Joe Henry Reuss was a physician who founded the temporary Salome Hospital in 1892, served as its manager and superintendent after a Hospital Association was formed in 1893, and in 1916 purchased the facility and rebuilt it as Reuss Memorial Hospital in memory of his father, Dr. J.M. Reuss.
