About Bob
Reverend Bob Childress founded Buffalo Mountain Presbyterian Church, the “Mother Church” of six rock churches in Southwest Virginia. He organized the church in 1927, dedicated its building in 1929, and is the subject of the book *The Man Who Moved a Mountain* by Richard C. David. He and his family are buried in the church cemetery.
