About Carmina
Clyde Bender was the founder of Blue Ridge Christian Homes, established in 1975 on the Bender family farm in Stuarts Draft, VA. A dairy farmer who recovered from a 1969 farming injury, he later served on a missionary trip to Haiti before opening a children’s home in 1972 and the Blue Ridge Christian Homes for the elderly in 1975. He moved to Bealeton in 1979...
Katrina is the granddaughter of founder Clyde Bender. She moved to the Raphine campus of Blue Ridge Christian Homes in 2002 and later relocated to Bealeton in 2009. She currently operates the Bealeton location of Blue Ridge Christian Homes with her husband Shawn and their children.
