About Merryman
Merryman Lunsford (June 17, 1787 – June 17, 1862) was the founder and first pastor of Blue Ridge Baptist Church, established in 1821. He served as a preacher of the Gospel for 40 years in the Missionary Baptist tradition and is buried in Glade Creek Cemetery in Blue Ridge, VA.
