About Friedhelm
Friedhelm Trube, originally from Darmstadt, Germany, immigrated to the United States in 1981 and later became co‑owner of Berliner Kindl German Restaurant and Deli. He helped expand the restaurant’s hours, remodel the building in 2003, and design the space to evoke the communal German eateries he remembered.
