Philip A. Darcus was the founder of Bethel Church of God in Christ (COGIC) in Charlottesville, Virginia. He led the church from its inception on July 26, 1968, and drove back and forth from Staunton with his family for two years before the church purchased its current building on July 8, 1970. He was known as a kind and loving elder within the community.
