Winifred Arms was the co‑founder of Arms Acres, a 191‑bed licensed facility in Putnam County, New York. She dedicated her life to helping those suffering from chemical dependency, opening the doors of Arms Acres in March 1982 after the death of her husband, Robert Arms, in 1971. She passed away in 1995.
