About Durwood
Durwood Green was the original restaurateur who converted an old barn on the corner of Garner and Yeargan roads into Green’s Garner Grill after World War II. He ran the restaurant for over four decades until his passing in 1990, known for his affable, outgoing personality and dedication to serving friends and the community.
