About Kit
Kit Carson‑Trubey is a co‑founder of the Orchard at Altapass. In 1995 she discovered the 277‑acre orchard on the Blue Ridge Parkway, purchased the land with her brother Bill and sister‑in‑law Judy Carson, and led the restoration of the historic orchard, turning it into a working heirloom apple orchard that also celebrates Appalachian culture.
