Anthony James Rinaldi is the Center Director for the White Plains location of Causeway Collaborative. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/LMHC) and a Futures Coach. Derio Rivera is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with the Causeway Collaborative. He serves as a clinician, Futures Coach, and Therapeutic Mentor. Derio earned a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts from SUNY New Paltz, worked in the New York public school system, attended Andover Newton Theological School, and spent time working with at‑risk youth in New York, an orphanage in Surket, Nepal, and an outdoor wilderness program in the Adirondacks. He later volunteered with special‑needs adults through AmeriCorps, worked at the private boarding school Kildonan in Amenia, NY, and earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University, completing an internship at Shoreline Behavior Wellness Center. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing bass guitar, and listening to music.

Vince Benevento is the founder of Causeway Collaborative, established in 2012. He created the organization to address the needs of young men facing mental health and addiction challenges, drawing on his own experiences to develop a treatment program that empowers clients to realize their inner power and self‑worth. Under his leadership, Causeway has grown into a full‑service firm offering Futures Planning, Counseling, and Therapeutic Mentorship, serving over 1,000 families in the Fairfield County community.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Dr. Nicole O’Brien is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Director of Family Therapy at Causeway Collaborative. She is a licensed marital and family therapist (LMFT) with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University and a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. She previously served as a tenured Associate Professor and Program Director for the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Fairfield University. Her experience as a college athlete, family‑business consultant, therapist, and professor informs her expertise in human behavior and family systems, enabling her to help families create more harmonious relationships.

Futures Coach

Jordan Buckman is a Licensed Professional Counselor‑Associate (NCC) and Futures Coach at Causeway Collaborative. He earned a B.S. in Finance from the Kogod Honors program at American University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University. His expertise includes asset management, alternative investment (CAIA Level 1), and mental‑health work focused on trauma, autism spectrum disorder, and ADHD. Jordan is QPR Gatekeeper certified, holds Adult/Pediatric First Aid and AED certification, and has completed anti‑discrimination training with the Anti‑Defamation League. He has also volunteered with the National Park Service in Yosemite and Denali National Parks and enjoys rock climbing, ultimate frisbee, and mixed‑martial arts.
